The Best Part About Having Guests

It seems like nearly everyone has been on a hiatus over the past month. After all, it is July which means people are on vacation, swimming, out cavorting around. In China that means it is extremely hot and humid, which in theory means that I should be posting more since I mostly want to hide in the air conditioning. However, we’ve had guests which means we have been out and about with them.

The Best Parts About Having Guests Are:

1) Having an excuse to travel more than usual.

2) They remind me that I am living in China, and that is pretty damned cool. Especially when you come from a place called Penn Yan.

3) Everything you’ve already seen before but want to show them, seems new and interesting again.

4) Having a group of people who now have more of an idea of what living in China has been like over the past ten months.

5) And finally, getting to take them out to our favorite places to eat. Not that I need an excuse to eat more or often.
