Often China & Japan Related.
Aside from criticizing the United States for having numerous brands of lipstick full of toxic levels of lead, the Chinese government is working on, or at least appears to be working on, training toy makers to ensure quality exports.
If the workers are actually trained properly and they have incentives to follow the new rules this could actually make the toys safer.
But my question is - What is Mattel doing to make the toys that they sell safer? Shouldn’t they have some of the responsibility in all of this? Why has their negligence in quality control and safety precautions not been the focus of the entire media frenzy?
